Thailand Holiday Day 9 – Koh Samui - Hangover!

Goodness I don’t feel good today, didn’t really get to sleep until about 5.00am!!

Head is spinning and I still felt very drunk when waking up, as did Tash. Woke up about 10.30am and staggered down to breakfast, I wasn’t too keen to eat much but did my best and we then went down to the beach – did nothing all day to be fair other than sleep and keep quiet!!

The tide came in a bit today so we went out in the kayaks, all 6 of us in three of them and that was nice. Went to the jutting out area and over rocks to see what was around the corner and it was another private beach. Not sure if it was the wavy-ness of the sea or the remnants of our hangovers but Lewis, Tash and I were all struggling a bit so we didn’t stay out too much longer and came back – and back to sleep on the sun-beds and around the pool!

We decided to walk along the beach for the evening meal instead of staying on-site because it is expensive here and the beach restaurant I’d walked to earlier in the evening (to check it was open) welcomed us. There were a couple of people eating and they were from the hotel as well so they’d had the same idea as us!

No alcohol this evening unsurprisingly but the food was lovely. It’s funny how it’s all cooked individually, so Lewis got his and was finished by the time mine came out and then Mums and so on! Bit of a mix up with Lewis’s order and after his prawns (prowons!) he’d asked for chips but they brought out the full fish and ships (sic) dinner. We didn’t complain as he was still hungry so it worked out fine!

All went well and even better when we got the bill – it was about £20.00 in total for all of us, compared to £70.00 at the hotel!! And that included Lewis having two main meals! Walked back home and played games on our balcony before calling it a night.

I don’t think it was a wasted day as it was nice to have a relax but I’d prefer not to have too many more like that!!
