Thailand Holiday – Day 4 – Bangkok to Chiang Mai

Up at 9.00am – hard to do, we’re all knackered

Breakfast and then checked out the hotel and got the minibus to the airport – only took 20 mins to get there and we were straight through customs with no bother. 60 minute flight to Chiang Mai and picked up by the travel people and taken 20 mins to the hotel.

Another very nice hotel indeed. Checked in and then checked out the pool and other areas and went our for a walk. We’re right in the middle of the market area which is really pleasing and walking through at about 4.00pm they were setting up. We decided to eat dinner early so did so and then came back to the hotel to get showered and changed.

Went out again around 7.15pm and walked through the market towards a museum that had everything in 3D – it was amazing and everyone loved it. It was all interactive and done in such a manner that the paintings appeared to come out and include you. Such good fun to try and come up with ways to make them seem even more real.

Once finished there we walked through the market and it was all the same things but everyone seemed to buy items that they’ve had in mind and presents for people back in Oxford. Lots of bartering so everyone was happy.

Back home early (10.15pm) because we have to be up at 6.00am tomorrow – that’s going to be tough!!!
