Jack on song yet again…

The lads played against Crowmarsh Orange today in what I expected to be a comfortable match which is what it turned out to be in the end. We started incredibly quickly when Max scored within 2 minutes with a great strike from outside the box and we pushed and pushed but they hit the post twice and should have scored themselves but we were just more clinical and scored again through James Othen.

Then without much to-do Max and James scored again for us to be 4-0 at halftime.

Changed things slightly and they continued to play some good football and the game was petering out until I moved Jack back up front and he suddenly scored two fantastic goals with long range strikes that the keeper could do nothing about from outside the area. He then latched onto a poor defensive clearance and then simply passed it into the net round the keeper for his hat-trick. Nothing too remarkable there…except he did all these in the space of about 3.5 minutes!

Absolutely stunning it was, I was very proud indeed to have witness him to that.

I then went to Lewis’s match as they played their last match of the season against Abingdon – bit of a needle match and Lewis once again played well and we ran out 2-0 winners. Should have been a lot, lot more but their keeper pulled off some great saves and we were a little bit wasteful in front of goal

A good day’s football all in all.
