Barbados - Boat Trip Day

Up at 7.45am and got ourselves sorted. Grabbed some food from the local minimart, then pickup was at 9.10am. Short journey down to Bridgetown Harbour and on to the Stiletto catamaran.

There were 12 of us in total — a nice group, good mix. We were told there was no alcohol available… which turned out to be a complete lie 😂 — beers appeared almost immediately. Cruel trick, but a welcome one!

Set off and unfortunately it was raining. First stop was for snorkelling — we saw turtles, large fish and even a stingray, but the visibility was poor, which was a shame. Still great to see them though.

Then on to two shipwrecks, which was really good and definitely the highlight of the underwater bits. After that we cruised along the coast towards Sandy Lane — by now the drinks were flowing freely.

More swimming, more drinking in the sea, proper holiday behaviour. Headed back afterwards in the rain again, with loud music blasting, good vibes all round.

Short bus journey home, waved everyone off and had a really good laugh with them. Back at the beach - by now we were pretty drunk. Got more beers, played my music far too loud, more swimming, all very silly and fun.

Got changed and walked to Savvy on the Beach, stopping at a small bar on the way and staying there a while. Played music, chatted with another couple - that was a real laugh. Eventually carried on to Savvy, had some food, then had to go back for the umbrella.

That’s when Tash got funny, and we ended up having a discussion on the walk home. I was definitely pissed off by then — far too much drink involved. We did sort it out, but it was time for bed.

✅ End of Day Summary

A brilliant, messy, boozy, fun-packed day — turtles, shipwrecks, beach beers, loud music and classic holiday chaos. Slight wobble at the end thanks to too much drink, but still one to remember for all the right reasons. A proper holiday day!
