Struggling a bit today…

Got up with a very heavy head and puffy eyes and went off to football with Jack, got there a bit late and Kidlington were there being very busy indeed and we all strolled in a bit too casually. I did the warm up and then we played and it was a competitive game but we were not really at the races and after an even first half we completely fell apart in the second and deservedly lost 3-1, not good!

Went back home and everyone was laid out on the sofa so I took advantage of that and crashed out as well and we watched Gogglebox and Remember Me and just relaxed, it was actually quite nice to do so.

Had dinner in the afternoon and then Lewis went off to London to catch the bus home and this was an adventure in the end for him! He’d left in plenty of time, around 5.00pm for a 7.30pm bus but unfortunately there were massive traffic delays and he missed the coach by about 10 minutes. So he was obviously upset and concerned and I was thinking that I’d have to go and get him and drive etc.

So we got onto Megabus and they changed his ticket to Manchester at 8.00pm – that didn’t turn up until 8.45am because of traffic and cracked windscreen and we realised he’d not be in Manchester until after 1.00am – there are no trains to Huddersfield at that time! So I phoned taxis and they were expensive and then the hostels so he could stay and get the early train but in the end he got there about 2.30am and decided to just stay in the train station and get the early train. So quite a hassle but he did it and got home in the end! Bless him

Bulls Family Xmas Party

Vicky and Nikki organised the above for the evening to celebrate Xmas coming up and hired out that hall that was used for Vic’s 21st birthday. It was a Xmas theme and people were encouraged to dress up which we duly obliged in doing. Vic’s and Gaz picked us up around 5.00pm and we went over to Ted & Kaye’s for pre-drinks and that was fun. Nik and Gaz were Mr & Mrs Father Claus and Ted was in a full Snowman suit – very funny indeed!

We then got taxis at 7.15pm to the venue and slowly people turned up, most were dressed up but loads weren’t, but you know us, that made no difference whatsoever. We just partied with drinking and dancing all night. Plenty of food as well, such a good night. Everyone is quite mad it has to be said! About 60 people were there and it was fun all night, got quite drunk but wasn’t embarrassing…at least I don’t think I was!

Paid for drinks for the kids all night and then they got the bus home a little earlier than the end time but that worked out well as it meant there was room to get a lift home with Liam and Zoe.

Got home around 12.30pm and straight to bed. Not something to be proud off but I got up about an hour later and was really badly sick! Haven’t had an alcohol related sick in a long long time…must have been a dodgy packet of crisps!!

Another great party and a start to the Festive Season – it’s going to be manically busy, we have so much lined up

Bringing Lewis home

Was up and out of the hotel by 7.30am and walked down to the Deli that is where the breakfast is served and it was a great setting, had the most lovely breakfast and coffee. I could have sat in there all day, great place to have breakfast in the morning. I then went to the Edustaff offices and it was only Liz that was there so I got going and all went really smoothly, I was relieve and obviously pleased about that. I didn’t have a break and just kept going on with the work and more people turned up in the end but by 4.00pm I got it all done.

Lewis was sat downstairs waiting for me so we decided to stop for something to eat before setting off and there was a pub next door and we had scampi and chips which was really good, and a pint!

Nice to catch up with him and we chatted for the hour that it took to get properly outside of Manchester and onto the M6 and then he crashed out and went to sleep. The journey was pretty uneventful, but it was smooth and we got home in surprisingly good time. It was around 8.15pm that we got back to Wolvercote and Natasha was at the Jacob’s Inn with Ben so we went there for a pint and caught up with him and then went back home

We all just sat in front of the TV and cracked open a crate of beers and went through it – I think we had 6 or 7 each and Tash was a bit wine drunk so that was interesting!

Really nice evening and great to see Lewis and have it down here if only for a short time.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland Ice Rink (pond!)

Up early and got ready for the football and going out to London later. Pissing down with rain all night so it was unlikely that the match would go ahead but went along all the same

Unsurprisingly the ref turned up and it didn’t take him long to call the match off, a little disappointed but no one could complain.

Went home, had something to eat and then was out of the house by midday to meet Wayne, Kerry & the girls to drive to London – still bloody raining!!

Parked in the only place possible along the Bayswater Road (very lucky indeed!) and then wandered along Oxford St to Selfridges. Bought a couple of things and then went back to Marble Arch and into Hyde Park for the Winter Wonderland. Very busy and bloody huge! Quite nice to simply walk around the stalls and see what was happening before stopping for a coffee and then going ice skating. This was a real let down and very frustrating. The ice rink was actually 3 inches under water all the way around. Very odd, and in fact where it wasn’t water it was like corrugated iron – I think it had actually melted! Went round a few times and was worried about going over as you’d have been so soaked – it was a nightmare! My feet and legs really hurt and I had to get off – not a good sign with skiing on the horizon!

The kids just got on with it and had a good time, such a shame as it’s the biggest rink we’ve skated on in the all the years that we’ve been able to go and it was pretty shit!

Ah well, we then went for a walk around the rest of the attractions and found somewhere to eat which was a carousel, that was interesting and cool. Had a lovely lamb burger – loads of meat and really tasty. Just expensive!

Once done we walked back to the car and drove home, didn’t take too long as there wasn’t too much traffic and got settled down, prepared for the week ahead (I’m away for a couple of days in Birmingham) and then watched some TV – got distracted and still didn’t go to bed until midnight, not good!

A very enjoyable weekend all told

Tasha’s Friend Dies

Not a nice title I appreciate but in the evening Natasha’s friend Amanda finally died. She’s been suffering from cancer and battling it for over a year and been off work for a couple of months but sadly she succumbed on Saturday night. Tash had gone with Michalina to see Amanda only a week or so ago and it was good she did because it was clear to most people that she’d likely not last until Xmas. That sounds very matter of fact and it’s not meant to be insensitive but she clearly was very ill indeed and didn’t have long

Tash was obviously upset but we had Wayne & Kerry round in the evening so we didn’t discuss it as it would have set her off and she was trying to be strong and not cry, she did that when they left. Very sad indeed and it’s such a terrible, awful disease it really is. Amanda wanted to have her funeral at the College which I think they’ve agreed to so that will be hard for them all to cope with. Such a shame.

Tat actually happened near the end of the night, before then we’d all had a few drinks and sorted out the travelling for the skiing trip so all is in hand and looking good.

Not much of a day other than that, nothing to be excited about!

Lack of motivation or football quality

Struggling with work at the minute, finding everything quite hard to get going with. Was at Raintree today from 8-5 without a break and put in a good shift as there was loads of work to do but I still struggled to focus and keep on top of things. Not sure if it’s too many late nights or still a bit of a come-down from the Edustaff project.

It could well be that as I was so busy and on demand and pushing myself perhaps that’s what happens when dropped from the project. Anyway, I need to snap out of it and make better use of the free time I am getting.

After work I was home for a bit and then off to Thame to play in the Vets match. I missed the one a couple of weeks ago in the cup which we lost 2-1. There were some familiar faces there which was nice, Martin Brown, Kevin Williamson, Liam Herbert and Matt Timberlake. Even the referee was Keith Godfrey from school!

Anyway, a competitive game and I was being run down quite a lot, seemed to struggle again but it was okay. We didn’t look good attacking and I can’t think of a chance we had in the whole game to be honest. Anyway, 1-1 at half time and then we got caught out in the second half and made some bad decisions to end up on the wrong end of a 5-1 hammering! Very tired indeed!

Had a drink etc afterwards and then home to relax – my body is killing me already as I’ve not done anything for about 3 weeks – I wonder if I will ever learn! Anyway, bed now!

Very tired indeed

The alarm went at 5.35am as planned and that was painful getting out of bed with such little sleep this weekend. Had to shave as well so that meant getting up earlier! Made it to the train on time and tried to sleep but that made things worse and then stopped at Greggs for a bacon bap and coffee – that cheered me up!

Worked in Peters today and all went according to plan, busy day and productive. Really hoping for an early night tonight, wonder if that will be achieved!

Had a couple of texts with Lewis as he has an important exam today so fingers crossed it goes well, bit concerned that he’s done so much with that TV Show last week and also tired this morning – we shall see…

Caught up with Lewis with Tash via Facetime and he was in good spirits – nice to see him

Didn’t do much else in the evening, stayed up watching TV in fact!

Heavy head and Shrek

Woke up with a heavy head this morning, not too desperate but still not much fun! Sat downstairs with Jack and watched the X-Men film we’d recorded and it was very enjoyable. Had a big fry-up for dinner and then got ready for football, it was an afternoon kick-off today but we needed to leave by 12.30pm.

All a bit tense to be honest, there’s a definite lack of enthusiasm and respect with the team and players at the minute, it’s really hard work. Jack was struggling with his knees and ankles and could hardly walk, let alone run but we didn’t have enough players so he had to play. He did fine but was struggling throughout and didn’t last.

First half was pleasing, played some decent football and moved it well and were 3-0 up. A bit less quality in the second half but still managed to win 5-1 in the end. Pleasing after a weird start to the morning.

Tash wasn’t in when we got home so we had our dinner and then went into Oxford, parked at Tasha’s work and met with Sue, Brendan, Nik, Gaz and Emily to watch Shrek. It was very good and really enjoyable. An excellent show which matched the film and was great fun.

When it finished we said our good-byes and went our separate ways. Jack & I then watched the beginning of I’m a Celebrity Get me out of here and it was quite addictive in the end and I watched all of it. I then didn’t want to go to bed and stayed up watching other things until after midnight – stupid of me really because I know I need to get up at 5.30am tomorrow

Tash wasn’t around because she and Charlotte had taken Jessica and Katie to London to see Lewis in the show he’s been working on all last week. It’s going to be on ITV in January and should be quite enjoyable actually – it’s a high profile show with Celebs learning/performing acts and his one is obviously skipping. I was getting updates from Tash and Charlotte as they were excited by who they were sharing time, drinks and nibbles with. I can’t say but they’re not mainstream celebs any more but they’re all well known back in the day!

They got home around 12.30am so we spoke to seconds before trying to get some sleep but they had a fantastic time and Lewis really enjoyed it

So, a very, very busy weekend – I am absolutely drained!

Inflatables & 2-Tone Fitness Class!

Had a relaxed morning and then went out to do some shopping and then popped in to see Grandma on the way back because Mum is over at Louise’s so no one else was around to help out. It was fine, she can’t hear a word I say but doesn’t have a problem with hearing Tash. It’s so strange, I can be shouting at her and she doesn’t hear. She had a hearing aid now but obviously hasn’t got used to putting it in yet.

The house needs a full top to tail clean – it’s something I might organise as it’s not pleasant there. It’s not filthy, don’t get me wrong, but it could be nicer! Not sure when the last time a hoover would have been run through the living room or the cupboards cleared out! We stayed an hour and she was pleased we had made the effort, as we were obviously also pleased. She must get so bored and lonely there, still it’s great that she’s still able to manage on her own. Very impressed and proud of her.

Back home I wanted to concentrate on the Thailand Book and made some serious progress with it in the afternoon before having to stop and get ready to go out in the evening. I wasn’t really overly bothered but once I’d had a drink and got ready I was up for a night out. Tash had picked up Wayne and Kerry and we then went to Cowley Workers for 7.30m for a night out watching/dancing to the Inflatables. Seemed a bit odd that when we got there it was packed with very old people and we joked about it being a Bingo night…

Many a true word said in jest…within 20 minutes they did start selling Bingo cards! I couldn’t resist and got some but didn’t have any luck. The drinks were flowing and it was a good night and when the music started I was straight up there and you couldn’t get me off the dance floor. No one else joined in that much so I was at it on my own surrounded by crew cuts, trilbies and Harrington jackets!

Loved it and was sweating like a pig by the time it was finished as it was such hard work – they could release a fitness DVD!

Tash drove us home, dropped off Wayne & Kez and then picked up Charlotte and Miles from the Oxford Science Park and that was a very quiet car until we got home and to bed.

Really good evening, too much to drink but then what’s new?? Posted this Facebook message the next day with got a lot of likes!!

Worst ever cinema film?

Bit of a nothing day today, worked hard but it was also hard to get going and it wasn’t my most productive day I’ve ever had!

I finished at 2.30pm today and went down to Jack’s school as they had a match in the National Cup competition and sadly they weren’t at the races today for some reason, a real apathy and sluggishness about everything they did and unfortunately they lost 3-2. I was disappointed for them to be honest. Jack did well so that was pleasing but still not enough to help the team win though.

I chatted with Jason Carbon and Rob Wilkinson – it’s always us three that seem to be at these matches and we had a laugh and a catch up.

I waited for Jack afterwards so I could give him a lift back home with his bike in the boot and we got ready and then went out to Bicester to meet Nikki, Gaz and all the girls for Emily’s birthday. We were in Nando’s and it was fine, their food is quite predictable and not particularly good to be honest but they all liked it and it’s a place that youngsters seem to feel comfortable going to.

Once that was done we went next door to the cinema and watched Nativity 3: Dude Where’s My Donkey? I need to be careful what I say now…I liked the first Nativity film that was on BBC once but this was shocking. I’d been made aware that the reviews hadn’t been favourable before watching it and I can see why. Very, very poor indeed, I cannot believe people wrote this shit and also ‘acted’ in it. I can only hope it was aimed at anyone under 11, there weren’t even any adult jokes like the sort you’d expect from Disney.

I was really quite shocked by it and for the first time considered walking out but thought otherwise of that because it being a family night out. When it finished everyone joked about it and then it was home and an early night!

Hard work now..

Went to Scholastic in Southam today and that was the first time I’ve been there. Quite an unremarkable place near Warwick and on an industrial site, but it was nice to not be a long journey away for once! We had the SPIRIT Data Mining workshop, it went okay, so pleased that I did all the prep that I could last night otherwise I would have been really stuck. I have a lot of action points to get sorted now which I need to get going with Jason and make good progress over the coming 4 weeks.

Came home and carried on with some of the work and then got dinner sorted and took Jack to football training. Phil was there but no Chris as I think that’s going to be the case from now on. I asked Phil if he was back on board and he said he was and Chris had asked him and was going to tell me, obviously he’d not. I don’t mind at all, many hands and all that. We did the session and I thought it was going okay but it was hard work at times, some of the lads are so disruptive and I wasn’t in the mood for pissing about. I’m very, very tired!

Got home at 7.45pm for 15 minute to listen to Tash moaning at Jack and then I took him to karate and I’m sat here now eating white chocolate and catching up on emails and that. I look forward to these sessions here on the laptop now I must admit!

Anyway, I have a lot of work on at the minute which is pleasing so even with Edustaff dropping me there is still stuff that needs doing for people.

Knackered – good night

Normal day

Pretty dull day to be honest. Shit night’s sleep and then up at 8.00am and working in the garage but lost time on the internet connection out there not working as it should. Got it sorted in the end but so annoying to lose time!

Worked well on Peters Books and got so much done, very productive. As and when new issues came in from Edustaff users it was weird not getting stressed and simply batting it over to the EdCo Support team to deal with. They’re not going to know what hits them, I did so much for Edustaff in managing this and protecting them and Jenny and the developers. An also Wayne & Dave will find it tough going receiving all the queries. But it’s up to them of course.

Got a couple of deliveries in the post today which were the presents we have got Lewis and Charlotte and I am really pleased with one of the items for Lewis, it is only the extension pole but it’s perfect. At least it seems to be – can’t wait for the proper present to arrive and check it out now!!

Mum popped over still as we didn’t need her to do the karate run for Jack’s karate as he will be doing the later adult sessions from now on. Nice to have a catch up, she was telling us that Grandma is now using a hearing aid and she’s delighted with it. Makes such a difference that she can actually hear well and isn’t making a fuss about it – pleased to hear it. So to speak!!

I took Jack to football and took the training session, there was only 9 of them but it was a good enjoyable session. When it finished I had to take Jack to karate, I quite like it as I can sit there and work on the laptop without fuss. Finished and came home.

Everyone in bed (10.00pm) so I stayed up to do some more work but Hunger Games was on so I ended up watching for that for a bit

Nice place to work

I was at the Royal Holloway University today training on SPIRIT and this is what greeted me when I turned up. Not too bad is it, although I wasn’t in the building but to the side in a grotty training room having this in the background felt nice!

Training went well – when I eventually got there. Traffic wasn’t good to me on the M40 and I was speaking with Pierce’s dad, Tim, for a few miles outside Wycombe as he drove past me whilst we’re in the queues and saw me so called! Nice to catch up with him

Worked in the evening and had a call from Wayne advising that the work at Edustaff in terms of running their project has now dried up so they want to manage it themselves. Not particularly surprised but still disappointed. They still want me doing testing work which I am happy to do of course – as busy and as manic as it was it was still work and I don’t like dropping any

I created a list of handover points for them so they knew what I was still waiting on responses to action and also passed over a few items that cropped up today – no time like the present for them to get working on the new process I felt.

Watched some TV with Tash and then to bed!

365 IT Technician for hire…

Up at 5.30am and off to London for meeting at 8.30am with Wayne, Dave & Andy.

Had to scrape ice off the car in the morning – v cold!

Then spent the day working through their machines and finally (with help from Adam) got to the end of it. Tired, mentally and physically as I don’t have any sort of break and in fact I can’t even remember eating – it’s all merged into the same sort of day and routine.

I think they’re okay with what I’ve done for them

Got the train home and had to stand to Maidenhead before nodding off for 20 minutes and then decided to come straight to karate to pick up Jack, so it’s 9.30pm and I still haven’t been home for dinner yet!!

Although I did get a Belgium bun from Greggs (2 for £1) so that has kept me going!!

Will set my alarm for quite early in the morning to see if I can get into a habit of being a morning person and then start getting a lot more done in the morning…what’s the betting I update this tomorrow to say I slept in???

Wore my scarf to London today – thought I looked so great I sent it to the family on Whatsapp!!

London…again…

This is getting into a pattern almost…working at Edustaff again after Monday’s mammoth session because it’s still not finished there and they don’t want me off to the other offices until London is signed off and working. So up at 5.40am to get the 6.30am train – it was packed by the time of hitting Paddington, I don’t know how people do this every day, it’s a nightmare!

Took me an hour to get from Paddington to Stratford and then into the work I needed to do. I was receiving emails in the morning so I knew there was hassle to walk into but we got it sorted quite quickly and then I was able to work my way around the PCs sorting them out one by one. They’re quite comfortable with me in the office now and take the piss quite a bit to be fair, a lot of it is bravado and showing off, not quite sure why they’d do that with me but it’s amusing and passes the time.

I’d almost finished all the items I needed to and then was called into a TED meeting with Wayne, Dave and Andy and that killed my momentum as we did that for other 2 hours which is what I needed to complete my work. There is a bit of passion from Wayne now about the project and the time it’s taking and the way things are moving in EdCo in terms of the developments and progress. I suspect he’s concerned about my rising costs as well but I bet that the time I’m here for the installs it’s cheaper than Deverill doing it.

From experience of working with/in EdCo the project is going how things normally do, there is a spread of resources too thin for the work required with this and other projects, things will come to a head and there will be a kicking which will then make loads of development work get done.

It’s obviously quite hard being in the middle of this – I can only do so much as a Project Co-Ordinator and to be fair I asked if they were expecting me to be more pushy but was told I was more of the organiser and wouldn’t be expected to as that was there responsibility

I did a couple more PCs before leaving and then had to let Grossy down for football this evening as I couldn’t get back in time to play against Thame. Left the office about 5.50pm and got home around 8.00pm, had a quick catch up with Tash and then did another four hours work!! It’s a bit too much at the minute

Tash had been down to Kent to see Amanda who dying, she’s glad she went and it was a real shame for her as it is likely the last time she will see her alive, cancer is such a terrible disease, it must be so hard for all involved. It was a sad journey obviously but she did the right thing and Amanda appreciated it.

She also told me that Charlotte is going to be taking a gap year now after all. I am not sure how I feel about this, I was her to do what she wants to do in life and I hope that she’s made this choice for the right reason and not through being lazy with work or being smitten with Miles. Tash mentioned there was a bit of friction taking place on that front because he was suggesting going away for trips and a gap year on his own, I didn’t really get the full story and gist of it so need to have a chat tomorrow when I’m home and can be focussed on my family. Other than that all is ticking along ok.

Still items outstanding with Edustaff so my planned trip to Manchester on Friday isn’t going to happen now and I also back in the office tomorrow to finish things off once and for all for the Office 365 roll out and also to work with Wayne and that on TED items in the list! We shall see how that all goes. So another evening of setting my alarm for the next day at 5.30am and knowing I’m only getting about 5 hours sleep. The weekend needs to get here asap!!

Oh, it was 5th November as well – had absolutely no idea and only saw a couple of fireworks. My life really has gone on hold this last week/fortnight. Mind you, it’s paying the bills!

Thailand Holiday Video

Can’t believe these are my memories and not someone else’s…

Working hard..

People are liking the video I posted of the Thailand trip, no surprise really as it’s actually quite good!

Worked at Raintree today and had a busy day of it in terms of training two new reps who are starting, one was a bit harder than the other to be honest but we got there in the end…I think.

I had a long spell out of the office as I went home at 11.30am to meet Annie for a haircut but I’d got mixed up and she didn’t turn up until 1.10pm so my lunch break was effectively 2.5 hours- oh dear. Obviously I was working in that time!

Finished around 5.30pm and then went home, had some dinner and had set myself a target to work in the office from 6.00pm to 10.00pm so dropped out of football training but Tash had messed up my internet connection out there so I lost 55 minutes trying to sort that out (unsuccessfully as it transpired) so I went back inside and cracked on although I then took Jack to the adult karate classes where i was able to work more.

Back home I finished at 11.00pm instead so it wasn’t too bad but I knew that I wanted to catch an early train so setting my alarm for 5.30am wasn’t something I was too overjoyed about!!

It’s hard work at the minute because there is so much on my plate but I have to get on with it and keep pushing myself but at the same time try not to cut corners and reduce the quality of what I am producing which in the last week or so has been the case so I need to get back on track there with my regulars.

I felt better with my situation at the end of the day than at the start of the day so that is something I guess!

Pressure to work on IT issues

Into London again today and was up bright and early at 6.00am and out the house 20 minutes later for the 7.05 train, got to London 20 minutes late but the tube was fine as I was dreading it at that time in the morning, and then arrived at Edustaff.

Got texts from Tash and Charlotte saying how good the video was so that was pleasing and I then started my day. Was a bit stressed I must admit as I felt it was my responsibility to have these things working and in place but it wasn’t my fault that it wasn’t. Spoke with Adam at Deverill a couple of times and we then got on track as the show-stopping issue was fixed and I could go round and do the work I needed to which was a relief.

Slow-going and to be honest I didn’t get as much as I’d hoped I’d get done completed. Had a meeting with Wayne about TED and he was less than enthused about progress which was a shame after the positive attitude last week. More testing for me to action this evening I think!

Continued working in the office until the girls threw me out as they needed to shut the office down and then I made my way back to Paddington and the train home. I have so much on my plate at the minute so it will be good to settle down a bit but I’m not 100% certain how that will happen with what’s going on!

I’m typing this up on the train, which is packed by the way, and might as well have a sleep I reckon.

That’ll do for now!

*Update – train was so slow and didn’t get back home until 9.15pm – what a nightmare long day!

Sunday Lunch with the In-Laws to be…

Up nice and early and straight downstairs to watch the last ever episode of Boardwalk Empire, it’s been a fantastic series and I will be saddened to see it go but it had run it’s course. The last episode finished off the loose ends but it felt a little bit flat compared to some of the recent episodes but it’s been immensely enjoyable!

I then worked for a few hours and in the afternoon got ready as we had Miles’s family coming up for dinner, they turned up and it was a pleasant afternoon with them. Lots to talk about, including the future of Miles and Charlotte but they didn’t seem quite as worried or concerned as Tash is which was interesting – Tash does display signs of being just like her mum at times. I was glad she had organised it the meal, it wasn’t as bad as I feared it would be. She did a good dinner and should be proud of what she achieved, I was proud of her. They stayed quite late (well 7.30pm-ish) and when they went we tidied up and I then did some work on the computer.

I’d been working yesterday on the Thailand photo book but this evening I took a look at the videos and by midnight I’d put together a really good (though I say so myself) video compilation of the holiday. It wouldn’t rendered for me to be able to upload it so I need to sort that out tomorrow but I kept watching it over and over as I was really pleased with the final result – it’s amazing what we did on that holiday, and the video doesn’t even include all of it incredibly!

Lazy Saturday!

Bit of a heavy head this morning and a bit of a funny day really, Saturdays do seem to drift at the minute which I need to take a look at, it seems a relaxed and wasteful day compared to all we do throughout the week. I got up and from 9.00am I worked on my laptop, mostly with the intent to do work but I ended up raising invoices and reconciling my accounts and that took all morning. Tash went out in the afternoon to meet up with her sister so I stayed and started working on the Thailand holiday Blurb book but that was desperately slow going and I didn’t get too far with what I wanted even though I spent hours on it.

I also watched some of the football and was pleased to see Liverpool lose to Newcastle 1-0! When Tash got back we went for a walk across the meadow and took Bella with us, I felt good walking and not as aching and tired as I do normally these days so, and I’ll say this quietly, hopefully I’m getting a bit more fitness about it…we’ll see!

Had a glass of wine back at Sue’s when dropping the dog off and then back home for dinner and then just collapsed in front of the TV and caught up with programmes we need to including The Missing, x2 episodes of Homeland and then Casualty and finally to bed so as I said at the start of this, not our normal busy day.

I guess it should be nice to have a relaxed time but somehow it feels like not much is achieved, it’s a strange feeling and hard to put my finger on it exactly.
